It's the 'little' things...
Sorry for me being a bit AWOL recently, but doing three shows back to back took its toll on us. However, without further adieu, The Gang popped in the middle of the night last night and began filling my heart with such joy it's impossible to not share.
It's the little things that not only keep you going, but fuel you.
As an example, my folks return from a 30 day wandering trip in Spain, Italy and Switzerland. They will be snug in our home this evening for hopefully a delicious (new recipe) meal, plenty of vino (It IS National Wine Day after all) and lotsa laughter, love and great stories.
I look forward to every juicy morsel.

A client who has become a friend popped in on her personal trek last night for dinner. While she only stayed for a few hours, it was lovely to just BE with each other.

I awoke this morning to the rain softly falling, the birds welcoming in a new day and the 'kittens' snuggling in close.
It's the little things.
Yesterday I arranged some M&Ms in the faery villages in the backyard only to have the M&MS GONE in a matter of hours. I imagine the fae taking them and having a party. My husband says the squirrels got them.
It's the little things.
It's having a rule with my husband that we don't talk work until we kiss. Even if it is a virtual kiss.
It's the little things.
It's playing with Gabi and chatting with her as we go for our daily magical adventures and seeing all sorts of things from the very real to the very real, but energy creatures.
It's the little things.
It's conversing with my truly amazing children via text to say I Love You because I can and sharing new recipes or tempting pictures of new recipes completed.
It's the little things.
It's chatting with The Gang. Listening to their pushing and often prodding to step out to share their stories, guidance and humor to clients and future students.
It's the little things.
It's these little things, or not so little things that when categorized into one word that spells out
LOVE.
It is the little things… unfortunately they are the things too often overlooked. I find myself now, as an empty-nester, wishing I had appreciated those little things more or been more aware of them as they were happening. I try now, not to miss a moment!
Oh and it’s the little things like this post to remind us to take in through our every breathe the little everyday mundane beauty. Thank you, Chris.
